after a psychotic entry, i'd like to blog on happier things..heh..

today as i was standing outside the suntec toilet just outside my church..den i was looking at this digital photo studio..and admiring the posters there.. and den i was thinking.. i want tt for my bday prezzie! haha..wanna capture my youth in a cool manner..if i cant be a real model, can i at least be one for a day?but den again..it could be ex..and den again..i think i'd be v paisay if i have to do it alone..heh..but den again..who will have enuf bling to take it with me?

i really would like to say i want surprises for my bday..hahah..cos i simply love em..but den..i'd wanna ask for things as well..so mao dun right..girls..*shakes head*and once again..i wanna save up my wishes for things i truly want/need but yet...i wanna go on a whimsical wishing spree..haha..i think i'm crazy..but oh well..one can alwiz dream big right? =)

weight issues weight issues..sighh..seems tt living in these times, u hardly get to go anywhere without skinny models mocking u from the posters where they stand oh-so-pretty, or whereby stick-thin girls walk by in their skimpy little outfits and just flounce ard with those gorgeous skinny pins they call legs.. ugghhh!!! the world is obsessed!!! well, so m i! eeek!!!

rraahhh...i really wonder how the celebs do it..to get the drive to work out like a freak everyday, not eat a lot of food n still feel happy abt it.. as for me..lack of food turns me cranky..and if i have as much bling bling as those celebs..u'll see me breezing into funky restaurants everyday..eating my heart out..and i'll prob earn myself a nick as THE ALWIZ-HUNGRY WHALE or sth..heh..

well, much as i try to feel happy abt myself, my bod n all..i cannnnnnntttt.....rraahhh..now it's bad enuf tt his mom thinks i'm meaty..hahah..i think i'm meaty..bad enuf tt not being able to fit into jeans squishes my self-esteem to an all time low..bad enuf tt my frens are taller than me..and thinner than me..don't tell me skinny is ugly..cos they arent skinny to tt extent..dont tell me healthy/ toned/ muscular body is better than slim n unfit..cos i frankly think otherwise.. would u wanna exchange my bod for urs? se...eeeee.......! *rolls eyes for emphasis*

recently, i've been trying to diet/workout.. haha.. it started cos of the upcoming NAPFA test!!! although i think i'd tad bit late for trg for tt..and also one of my modules in school requires us to prescribe an ex regime for ourselves and carry it thru for 7 wks or so..well, i'm obsesssed.. with losing weight..used to be hoping for 45kg..which i think is ok for MY height! but now.. i'm just wanna get back to my original wt first..and den..aim for the 45! if possible..i wanna be think enuf for ppl to hurl me into the air for a cheerleading stunt..and i mean..hurl me up EFFORTLESSLY! hahah.. well, if u're reading this and m afriad i'd throw up n all in the toilets....puh-lease la..i'm not tt obsessed yet..and i dont exactly like the idea of wasting money plus i absolutely hate barfing..burns the throat..

i cant wait for the day my stumps can fit into stick thin jeans!

anyway after jiu fen, we went back to the hostel to unload our buys..heh..we only wanted to hang ard jiu fen for awhile in the morn but ended up hanging ard much long lo.oops.heh..our plan was to head to shilin night market after the jiu fen shopping but being the night market tt it was, it's sooo not opened in the afternoon.hahah..quite sad ah..lalala...not to worry, we had the undergrd malls to attack!!!! =)))))))) it's like at the mrt station they have a shopping centre lo.tt simple.bit like city link. and the shoes there are pretty cheap la..and they have tons of shoe shops..tons tons tons! we'll really step in..try to hearts content n slowly start to accumulate shoes.hahaha.. the grand total at the end of our trip... 7 pairs of shoes for von..at least 5 pairs for the rest of us..haha..but as of today, i've only wore 4 outta 5 pairs. but not bad le la.had to let my feet rest after blisters..heh..but the ppl in taipei, they happily gave out half insoles when u buy shoes so it's quite cool la.esp if ur feet is my size and can hardly get sizes. so i will get the smallest size n stuff n insole inside lo. =)

after sme bimbotic ramblings, it's time to move on to shilin. ha.. sadly we were so busy shopping we didnt take tt many photos la. i've got one pic of their gigantic fruits! i think the rest of the pics still with yvonne lim jia rui!!!!! who blames late photo sending on samzie who alwiz forgets to bring the camera cable for her. *shakes head* anyway shilin is kinda 'divided' into 2 places. like the food centre n the shopping paradise. so we went ahead for food as we were obviously still early. ohhh..n they stupid thing was..we were taking the mrt..heard this bunch of girls talking abt wanting to go shilin den they stopped at a place one stop before the Shilin MRT station..den we were happily laughing at tt..when we realised we're the ones in the wrong... tt was how stupid can.. -_-''' albeit the little delay, we sorta knew where to eat at n stuff. but but but being the shopping freaks tt we were, we didint eat tt many things in shilin. tried the papaya milk though.. totally hated it cos it was too milky. den koped dunno who's white bittergourd juice instead. tt was pretty tasteless but the after taste was like..wah-lau-bitter! haha .. the white bittergourd is the white corn looking thingie in this pic..n their fruits are generally huger than ours so in the pic..they look alright..tt's cos they're all big..so none of them stands out..
the pic on the right is the famed smelly tofu..omg..it's really smelly..smells like garbage water..taste bit sourish..like really fermented..but we think it's cos of our mindset..but nth could change our minds after nibbling at it.heh..beside tt is the orh lua mee sua..some oyster mee sua..which is yummy n nice though bit small bowl leh.. pout..n in shilin..u'll realise tt u can wrap anything thing up in a bigger version of the original one. eg... da big bao xiao bing..( big biscuit wrap small biscuit) and da chang bao xiao chang ( small sausge in big sausage) ..i so wanted to eat the big sausage one..but it's really v big n oily n no one shares my love for sausages tt much..so i settled for a small one..pout..below is the sausage pic. heh.. tt's the sausages!!! heh..and below is the shell food pic i wanted to show u guys.. i'm craving for food.. so hungry so hungy so hungry!

we gobbled our food n were soon on our way to shopping paradise!!! yay! we stepped into the place n immed zoomed in on this accessory stall. heh..n fell in love with the earrings n necklaces n stuff. they werent tt cheap actually..NT200 or so. hmm..but we still bot it..we are on a shopping trip after all. in shilin u can really see lotsa shoe shops n cap shops lo. like really everywhere. so tempted to buy a cap but it's kinda wasteful cos i wont wear the cap in s'pore la.haha..not poser enuf. heh..but i think i bought my shades there. haha..n since i came back i havent wore it yet..heh..no chance to la.it's singapore leh..n if i go out ..my frens also dont wear shades wad..oh well..ha.. n i bought my dress thingie at shilin! it was quite surprising..cos at first i think the price was like NT 500plus i think. den at first i wanna sha jia till NT500. den the women noe we're frm s'pore den she says she has a fren there n so on n so forth n she say will give discount. i was praying for NT500 n she gave it to me at NT400 only lo..hahah..buy ah!!! hahah...was so happy with tt. but other than tt things at shilin was pretty pricy..and after tt shop we sorta made our way back le..had to catch the last mrt back..i think we ran for the train lo. -_-''' with our bags of shopping. heh.. but i love my dress thingie..! =)

the long awaited Day 2

well, we took the train up to jiu fen like i said in the photos..hah..tt ultra freakish but way too cool ride! and started walking. went there cos it supposedly had nice things to eat.heh..cos basically in taipei..the shops dont open till 11plus? tt's for shopping centres.for the night markets and wad not..they open in the late afternoon wor. so we had to busy oursleves.

we walked up n down up and down.it was on a hill so climbing is tiring!! decided to stop somewhere for lunch after our legs cant take it. heh..lu rou fan! i have no idea wad to call tt in eng but it's everywhere in taipei. anyway the shops in jiu fen were mainly food stores la.jelly, peanut candy, bin tang hu lu! my absolute fav! yum yum yum yum!!!!!!! strawberries in maltose candy! yummy!
the one i'm holding! tt's the one! it's sweet n sour and juicy! i miss it already lo.. the funny thing abt the place we ate at was tt the whole entire store was deco-ed in the female boss' photos. she literally wallpapered the entire place! has her posing with celebs, posing with a flower, posing with anything n anyone lo.quite funny.super exaggerated la..talking abt being zi lian..i think she gets first prize if there ever was a competition.

anyway, we walked ard n decided to try fried monster mushrooms! hahah.. it's aptly and proudly called "tian xia di yi gu!"










after which we ate some shell like thingie's meat..hahah..i have no idea how to read it in chi. but it was BAGUS!! nice nic nice...erm...i've no idea where's my pic gone to le. oh well.

after all tt eating, we went to eat somemore..hahah..some muachee thingamaging..gtg..meeting erjie now..

this is the scary train ride to jiu fen...we bought tix from this machine after consulting the tourist info counter at the train station. this is like their choo-choo train, huo che thing..little did we noe our tix didnt allow us to sit on the chairs..nice comfy chairs...but we happily plopped down onto it anyway.heh..till ppl came and told us it's their seats.heh..quite embarrassing. den we were 'banished' to this place in the middle of 2 carriages..the scary part was..one of the doors is left open! if we fell, we could just roll out onto the tracks or wadever there was out there! and..the journey to jiu fen is like..erm 45mins? to std 45mins! sighhhh...it was so terribly freakish when an oncoming train zoomed past us..the sound is like kinda "wow!" and u cant see much cos the trains move pretty fast..all of us had to grab on to wadever we could..which is not a lot to begin with..but halfway into the ride..we figured how to close tt door..-_-''' tt lessened the danger factor quite a bit and allowed for pics like these!!! ha! 

we're in Jiu Fen! well, not there yet.but this is on day 2. when we just came out of the train station after tt terrifying train ride..heh... 

aye...fat pic of me..but i'm happily eating breakfast while waiting for the huo3 che1 to go to jiu fen..with ticket in one hand and my bao1 in the other..i'm all set..oh...and i'm like wearing my new half jacket..heh...i bought it on day 1...

yep ppl! i went to taipei n back!! it was such a really girly shopping trip!!! spent like money is water..spent it as though it's not mine..but it heartachingly is..ooohh..my heart still aches.. well, havent gotten the pics frm my frens yet so not a lot of pics up. i shall bring u thru the boring details of Day 1 to Day 5...hahahah...sit back and try to put urself in my shoes..hehhehehe...

Bright n Sunny Day 1

my bao bei came over bright n early to send me off..ha..even though he will happily yell out tt he was forced..i believe we can ignore tt little fact if it makes me happy..dontcha ALL agree?? =) took linzie's bf's car to the airport..thank God for neighbours! wahhaha..anyway we were all super duper excited and ard half an hr later than our planned time to go airport to check in la.heh..had some BK breakfast and dashed in le. (i saw u turn and walk away but me saw u again at the other 'entrance'..wish i may wish i might i for u to turn ard to see me wave one more time but u didnt..aaccckkk...*gek*) we were so close to being late for boarding..or so we tot..hence we rushed ard and barely had time to enjoy the airport..well, least i got to hop into the DFS and talk a wee bit to my frens there.heh..well, we rushed to boarding gate n realised we were early n THUS.. all those with BFs..made utter full use of...the... FREE telephones in the airport! whee~!!was so happy to be able to talk awhile before boarding.cos i sadly didnt bring my hp along.no roaming, no point. *pout*

when we got on the plane..the feeling was like surreal la.it didnt feel like i was gg to be away frm home n all things familiar.we did try to slp.we wanted to watch like tv or sth.but being the budget airlines..we had no free entertainment. u had to rent portable TVs or pay for a deck of cards or even for food which might not taste gd.ah well..it was down to our resources..3 out of 4 of us actually had a deck of cards can..so lan4 du3.ha! play n play n keep watching von lose..haha..i was trying so hard not to lose cos i hate dealing cards.my hands are like retarded or sth at tt lo. soon, we could like see the outlines of taiwan..we think it is la.heh..cant tell frm up there cos there aint no large signboard yeah?excited excited!!!

we got off and we immed lost.haha..everything was in fan2 ti3 zi4 and we didnt exactly noe wad they wanted.we passed by some ultra corny customs guys -_-''', zipped to the belt where u collect luggage and dahsed out le.den we were lost again.dunno which bus to take n how to go.n so happened tt the tourist info counter and the bus station were at the 2 extreme ends of the airport.-_-''' finally we just went on any ole bus which said they were gg to taipei huo che zhan. tt itself was a prob.cos..our hostel was supposed to be near taipei main station.we werent really sure it's the mrt or the huo che station or wad.heh..anyhow anyhow take lo.we figured it cant be tt far.=) the bus ride was so fun on it's own.we practised our chi by trying to read ALL the signboards of ALL the shops lo..haha..steph like can only read one word..i tot i was not too bad. von n lin more power..due to all those vcds they watch..well, turns out our hostel was inside a shopping centre.on the 13th floor.by the time we reached, we were ready to eat each other and yank our hairs out.trying to check in was a killer actually.we actually have 6 ppl. von,steph,lin me. val and her pal. travel tog but not really tog. it was quite terok. we were expecting a 6bedder rm of our own.den they think we bked 6 beds only.so we ended up in a 8person rm.so we have roomies. den there was the deal abt the hostel fee.gave us all headaches. we were not members, no international student card, no discount.so we have to pay more.tired, cranky n hungry women are not to be trifled with! we kicked up such a huge fuss.till the guy wanted to pay for the extra bit for the membership card or sth.well, it's his fault cos he didnt say after signing membership card we still have to pay extra for sth else.but being still nice n sane ppl, we pay on our own lo.rraahh..when we finally got to our rooms and settled down..it was alr 9plus le. by right, we checked in at 7plus shldve cleared by den.ugh..n our hostel looked quite erm..double decker beds.metal lockers. shared bathroom with another room of 8ppl.with one roomie.ah well..

we just went to dabao cup noodles i think. cos it was late.most shops closed.we also dont exactly noe where to go yet.just walked ard our place. oooh! their cup noodles v super nice! it has real meat in it!chunks.u can see it de oh! not like singapore's miserly noodles tt only has the flavour n not the meat.well, our nite was concluded by playing cards till 3am..haha..kena niam by nx door neighbour for being noisy.oops. =)

well, there's like 4 more boring days to come..i will try to blog em asap..i promise....! hahah..i'm simply too lazy n no wanna bore u all tt much la.heh..
